Our Beliefs

This is an abbreviated version of our statement of faith. Please contact us if you wish to see the full version. We hold the following to be true and non-negotiable:​

God: We believe there is one God eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The Authority of Scripture: We believe God revealed himself in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, the inspired Word of God.
Ps. 119:9

Jesus: We believe God revealed himself supremely in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, born of a virgin, being both fully human and fully divine.
Mt 1:18-25

Creation: We believe that in the beginning God created all things by His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Man: We believe that God made humanity in His divine image, with free wil, moral character, and a spiritual nature.
Gen. 1

Sin: We believe humanity fell into sin through disobedience, bringing depravity and death, both spiritual and natural upon the race; leads to eternal separation from God.
Gen. 3:1-24

Salvation: We believe that on the cross Jesus Christ took our place, bore our sins, died our death, and rose from the grave. Salvation is a gift from God, not a result of our works or good any human efforts.
Eph. 2:1-10

Repentance: We believe that repentance is the commitment to turn away from sin in every area of our lives and to follow Christ, which allows us to receive His redemption and to be regenerated by the Holy Spirit.

Sanctification: We believe that sanctification is the ongoing process of yielding to God's Word and His Spirit in order to complete the development of Christ's character in us.

The Holy Spirit: We believe the Holy Spirit convicts of sin, guides for life, and empowers for service. His supernatural work makes new life and new birth possible.

The Baptism in the Holy Spirit: We believe that all entitled to and should earnestly seek the promise of the Father, the baptism in the Holy Spirit and fire. This experience is distinct from and subsequent to the experience of the new birth.

Spiritual Gifts: We believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit are given to all who follow Christ, so that men and women, single or married, young and old, can work together to build up the church and bring the world to Christ.

The Church: We believe that Christ is the head of the body, the church, which is the body of Christ.

The Great Commission: We believe God gave the whole church and every member of it the task of making Christ known throughout the world. 
Matt. 28:16-20

Prayer: We believe spiritual warfare demands spiritual weapons; the Word must be preached in the power of the Spirit; and we must intercede for Christ's victory to be established over principalities and powers of evil.

Social Need: We believe we must demonstrate God's love visibly by caring for those who are deprived of justice, dignity, food, and shelter.
1 John 3:16-18

Stewardship: We believe that God is the source of all blessings, temporal and spiritual; all that we have and are we owe to Him. Christians should contribute of their means for the advancement of the Redeemer's cause.
Gen. 14:20

Marriage: We believe that marriage is a covenant between one man and one woman for as long as they both shall live. Homosexual and/or transgender practices rejects this celebration of the diversity God intended.

Christ's Return: We believe that Jesus Christ's personal return will be visible in power and glory to consummate salvation and judgment, thus the church serves sacrificially and joyfully anticipating eternal life with God.

The Lake of Fire: We believe that the devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, and whosoever is not found written in the Lamb's Book of Life shal be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake which burns fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

The New Heaven and New Earth: We believe that, as promised in the Scriptures, we can look forward to a new heaven and a new earth wherein righteousness dwells.
